Graduation Requirements

1. EARN A TOTAL OF 48 SEMESTER CREDITS (must be earned in institutions accredited or accepted by the Idaho State Department of Education) INCLUDING:

  • 8 credits of English:

    • English 9A and 9B

    • English 10A and 10B

    • English 11A and 11B

    • English 12A and 12 B

  • 1 credit of Speech

  • 6 credits of Math:

    • Algebra I is the lowest level that counts towards these credits

    • 2 credits must be earned during senior year

    • Students must complete at least Algebra I and Geometry

  • 6 credits of Science:

    • 2 credits of Biology

    • 4 credits of other science courses

  • 7 credits of Social Studies:

    • 1 credit of US History 1

    • 2 credits of US History 2

    • 2 credits of US Government

    • 1 credit of Economics

    • 1 credit of Personal/Family Finance

  • 2 credits of Humanities:

    • All non-required social studies courses count as humanities (including World History)

    • Other humanities subject areas include foreign languages, world cultures, music, theater arts, visual arts, and graphic communications

  • 1 credit of Health

  • 1 credit of required PE

  • 2 credits of other PE electives

  • 14 credits of electives

    • Any coursework taken in the core academic areas that are above and beyond the graduation requirements can count as elective credits.

2. SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A SENIOR PROJECT.

3. PASS THE IDAHO STANDARD ACHIEVEMENT TESTS (ISAT) OR FULFILL AN ALTERNATE ASSESSMENT.

4. COMPLETE AT LEAST FOUR CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION CLASSES

5. PASS THE WORKPLACE READINESS ASSESSMENT

6. PASS THE TECHNICAL SKILLS ASSESSMENT

7. CAPSTONE IN THE PATHWAY YOU CHOOSE
