Welcome to Agricultural Science!
My name is Nathan Low, but my friends call me Nate. I grew up in the small town of Gooding, ID. I attended the University of Idaho, and have a bachelor of science in agricultural education. Currently, I've resided in Emmett for over 20 years, and taught agricultural education for approximately 30 years. My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and we have one son in high school. If I'm not attending FFA events as an advisor, you will find me playing outside. I enjoy fishing, hiking, skiing, and water sports.
I look forward to a new school year at PR2TA and teaching students how agricultural education can prepare them to be successful in not only their careers, but making informed choices about global agriculture, food, and natural resources.
When students takes my course, they will learn that through agricultural education, they are provided opportunities for leadership development, personal growth, and career success.
The agricultural classroom instruction is delivered through three major components:
1) Classroom/Laboratory instruction (contextual learning)
2) Supervised Agricultural Experience programs (work-based learning)
3) Student leadership organizations (National FFA Organization)
